DPV Breath-Hold Prompts World Record Claim
In an exciting development for underwater enthusiasts, a new world record claim has been made for the longest distance travelled underwater on a single breath in open seas. On July 15, Alex Khan reportedly covered an impressive 250 meters in just 1 minute and 21 seconds, using the high-speed AquaDart Pro 770 Extreme diver-propelled vehicle (DPV). This feat, equivalent to traversing the length of the Thistlegorm wreck twice, showcases the potential of modern diving technology and human endurance. While not yet officially recognized by Guinness World Records, this achievement highlights the evolving capabilities in underwater exploration and the ongoing advancements in diving equipment.
